PAUSILYPON – Suggestioni all’imbrunire
May – June 2014
At its sixth edition, the event, conceived and curated by the Center for Interdisciplinary Studies of Gaiola – a no-profit organization, in agreement with the Archaeological Superintendence of Naples and with the sponsorship of the Campania Region and the Municipality of Naples, from this year becomes a permanent exhibition of the archaeological Park of Pausilypon, proposing itself as a sophisticated encounter between archeology, nature, music and theater in the extraordinary setting of the ancient Villa D’Otium, dating back to the I century BC, Publio Vedio Pollio.
The festival was founded in 2010 to promote and raise awareness of this timeless place.
Stefano Scognamiglio and Francesco Capriello, artistic directors of the festival, were able to tailor the show to the context in which it is inserted, in the sign of absolute minimalism, and they gave a new life to this place, suspended in time.
