VIGNA di SAN MARTINO
The ancient Vigna di San Martino, located at the foot of the 14th century charterhouse, is a rare example in Europe of an urban farm. With a wonderful view of the Gulf of Naples, the Vineyard extends for about seven hectares and is one of the ecological emblems of the city of Naples, a national monument and UNESCO heritage since 2010.
It is cultivated with olive groves, vineyards, citrus groves and a vegetable garden, has a farm with donkeys, horse, ducks, chickens and chicks. The care and use of this place is entrusted to the Association of Social Promotion Piedi per la Terra (www.piediperlaterra.com), which for over twenty years has been carrying out educational research in the field of ecological education, addressing mainly children, the training of educators and to families, with experiential workshops.
A place of research and respect for nature, which encloses and enhances the wonders of our territory.
