The Bay of Naples is a large inlet of the coastline which measures an incredible 195 km and includes the Bay of Pozzuoli , the Neapolitan Riviera and Vesuvius , the Amalfi and the coasts of Sorrento, and the islands of Ischia, Procida and Capri. The northern part of the bay, to the west of Naples , is occupied by the system of the volcanoes of the Campi Flegrei.
In the bay there many islands that make up the Campanian archipelago. The largest and most important are Ischia, Procida, Vivara  and Capri.

The tourist offer ranges from the many archaeological sites scattered throughout the territory, the spas of Ischia, Castellammare di Stabia and the Phlaegrean coastline, the natural parks of Mount Vesuvius or Astroni , the monuments of Naples, the glamour of Ischia and Capri, the marine parks of Baia and Gaiola, the beauty of the Sorrento peninsula.
A significant place is occupied by the seaside tourism, with countless bays and beaches. Without forgetting sailing and boat riding along the coasts.
During the summer, the bay of Naples is most appreciated among the seaways and cruise destinations in the Mediterranean. This is also due to a system of ports that has been growing over the years.
The bay of Naples, thanks to its regular winds, is considered one of the best race courses in the world.
The Olympic Games regattas in 1960 took place here; in addition, the bay has been chosen for some preliminary races of the America ‘s Cup World Series in 2012 and 2013.
