Naples is rediscovering its relationship with the sea through new itineraries dedicated to the city’s history and landscape.
As part of the summer programme promoted by the Municipality of Naples, the Galeone offers two routes this year: one dedicated to Posillipo and its historic villas, and a new itinerary towards Vigliena, San Giovanni a Teduccio and Pietrarsa.
Particularly interesting is the focus on the eastern coast, an area that in recent years has been at the centre of major urban and cultural regeneration projects.
The initiative offers a different perspective on the city, linking the sea, industrial archaeology, historical heritage and contemporary transformation.
It is an interesting sign of how areas less frequented by traditional tourist circuits can also become part of a new narrative of Naples.
