SORRENTINO WINERY

Located at the foot of Mount Vesuvius, in the municipality of Boscotrecase, Tenuta Sorrentino has been following in the footsteps of Vesuvian agricultural and wine-growing tradition for five generations, producing excellent wines including the legendary Lacryma Christi.
The farm’s 40 hectares of vineyards have very fertile soil, rich in minerals, pumice, sand, and lapilli. Added to this is the climate, which tends to be mild in winter and hot in summer, with the influence of the sea and the wind.
Here, among the rows of these thousand-year-old vines, four main grape varieties are grown, all of which are native to the area: Piedirosso, Caprettone, Falanghina, and Aglianico.
The winery offers visitors, under the guidance of expert sommeliers, a range of experiences including wine tours, tastings, and guided visits through the vineyards on a journey that unravels the secrets of wine production: from harvest to maturation, to discovering the heart of the creative process in its centuries-old cellars.
