“I DO, NAPLES!” wins over industry professionals
With the “I do, Naples” format, Destination Naples captured the attention of a group of 12 prestigious wedding planners from the United States, Canada, the United Arab Emirates, France, England, Latvia, and Georgia, offering them an immersive experience in the city’s most evocative locations and the excellent services that Naples can offer for destination weddings.
“I DO NAPLES” was structured to allow participants to experience all the stages of a luxury wedding, divided into three key moments, starting with the first day dedicated to the “pre-wedding,” where guests were welcomed with an exclusive party aboard the Motonave Patrizia and the Veliero Tortuga, followed by the panoramic tour “Romantic Naples” panoramic tour and a visit to the Donnaregina Complex and the Pietrasanta Complex. The day ended with a Pizza Masterclass & Dinner at the Salvatore Salvo pizzeria. Then came the “wedding day”: a tour to discover the most prestigious locations for the ceremony, including Villa Pignatelli and Castel Nuovo (Maschio Angioino), where a wedding ceremony was simulated in the Sala della Loggia, with music composed especially for the occasion and a performance by the flag jugglers of Cava de Tirreni. After a wedding lunch at the Grand Hotel Vesuvio, the wedding planners’ day continued with a visit to the monumental area with the San Carlo Theater, Royal Palace, Umberto I Gallery, and Basilica of Saint Francis of Paola.
The evening ended with dinner and live music in the 18th-century Villa di Donato. Before leaving, the fam trip participants attended a farewell breakfast at the Hotel Royal Continental, followed by a visit to De Bonart Naples – Curio Collection by Hilton and lunch at Tenuta Terra degli Aranci. The grand finale took place at Villa Fattorusso, overlooking the sea.
Wedding tourism is a constantly expanding sector, and Naples has everything it takes to become one of the most sought-after destinations internationally.
Its charm lies in the extraordinary combination of elements that make each ceremony unique: medieval castles, historic villas, monumental churches, panoramic rooftops, and noble residences, together with memorable experiences that make the stay a 360° event.
