Chora is a noun of Greek origin that in ancient times referred to the agricultural region used by the city of Pompeii.
The choice of name reflects the inextricable bond that unites Chora’s restaurant offerings with the region and its excellent food and wine. The constant search for the finest ingredients, the focus on local, zero-mile products, and the promotion of regional culinary traditions are the cornerstones of our offering.
The Chora concept is reinforced by the term WineArcheoFood to convey authenticity and tradition as distinctive elements that characterize what is—to date—the only restaurant project within an archaeological site.
